On the chain list, the Receive dropdowns will allow you to choose what note will trigger a particular sound. This is a great place to set up some sound layering!

You can see that the first chain, DS Kick, is being triggered by C1, and kick 2 is being triggered by C#1. Let’s go and change kick 2 also to C1 under Receive. Now, if you trigger C1 on your MIDI controller, you will hear that you are triggering both sounds at the same time with the same note! You can also see in the Pad View that you have created a Multi pad (Figure 8.38).
