So, rather than fight her power, Woostie led Sheila over to the largest of the living room couches as soon as he’d arrived, and basically “spilled the beans.” He explained about Teddy’s deceit in deliberately forcing Ron into a financial corner, and how the contract had been written with the express purpose of squeezing him out.

Ronald MacWoost went on to explain that Mandy and Babette would continue on as Academy employees in different roles. “But you, my dear E-woman,” he burst out, “I refused to let them have as their number one instructor any longer! Teddy was angry about that, but I told him to go to hell. Imagine him, thinking I’d let you work there after I was gone?”

Sheila did imagine, with her feminine sensors on full throttle, and she could see the truth. Still, the E-woman was content to “let that go,” so thrilled was she at the thought of her release now from the torture of restraining herself with the Academy’s male students. Sheil wanted to thank the Armdale sneak, almost …

“Would you like me to stop his breath?” she purred.

Ronnie’s eyes bulged. “Kill him, you mean? Oh, no, babe, that wouldn’t do.” Yet, Woostie could not help himself from pursuing this mention of revenge. “How were you thinking of doing it?” he asked.

“Strangling his skinny neck,” she replied. “My hands are very strong, as you know. Strong as a big human male’s.”

“Yes, I did think that worthwhile to include in your design. Now I can see why,” he joked.

Sheila’s face showed puzzlement. “Then you do want me to …”

“No, no,” said Ron. “I was just fantasizing a bit. Your hands are meant for other work,” he added with a naughty smile.

“Well, I could set him on fire. Just to teach him not to go “cold” on the golf course on purpose, especially not when he’s your partner!”

Having luxuriated in the image of Theordore Armdale IV submerging his half-scorched carcass in a water hazard for relief, Ronald MacWoost spoke again in a more reasonable vein. “Thanks, Sheil, but we’d better let him be, in so far as bodily harm, though I’d sure like to ‘mess with his head’ plenty.”

Noting that he had again confused his E-woman with an English idiom, Ron clarified. “No, we’re not going to touch his head. I just meant I’d like to dampen his thoughts.”

“How does one do that?” she wondered.

“I don’t know yet,” her master mused. “But, I’ll let you know soon. That’s a promise – to both of us.”

Chapter 49

After a couple of weeks had passed, dust began to accumulate on Woostie’s clubs. They’d been exiled to his 4-vehicle garage, with orders to his E-woman not to touch them, either. Their owner didn’t even come to see them, let alone put the set to any purpose. For that matter, Ronald MacWoost didn’t have much use for anything or anyone else, it seemed.

Even Sheila’s charms swayed him not. He just lay on that same mammoth couch staring for long hours at the golf world as promulgated by National Golf News.
