VOICE: What do we call it?
The lights come up on a lectern center-stage. The man standing behind it is rangy and weathered with long white hair and beard. Though older he is manly and vigorous. He wears a white robe, not immaculate, and sandals.
Behind the lectern and to one side are two straightbacked chairs. Only one is occupiedâby a well-groomed middle-aged man wearing a suit.
For a long beat the man at the lectern gazes out at the audience waiting for an answer. Finally he repeats his prompt:
