16)Invasion

I quickly put the chair I borrowed back in place and move around to the chair Olivia was sitting in. This puts me directly across the table from Cassie. The waitress shows up to take our order. I pick up the menu, but Stacy starts ordering my usual for me. I’m more than a little surprised.

I’m not adventurous when it comes to food. I’m picky as hell and it takes a lot for me to try something new. I suppose that’s because Mom spoiled all of us growing up. She knew what we liked and fixed it very regularly. When I ate here the first time, I tried a dish and absolutely loved it. I’ve modified it a little, not a fan of onions and I had them removed from the dish. The fact that Stacy is ordering my favorite and only dish from here with my exact instructions, makes me a little paranoid. How the fuck did she know that about me? She then proceeds to order for Cassie as well as herself.

The conversation instantly changes to discussion about the check. I nearly spit out my drink when Cassie states that the check is for two-hundred and fifty-thousand dollars. All through dinner Cassie and Stacy talk about the best way to use the funds. Everything from video and sound equipment to using it to scout filming locations. Several times, it is brought up about me fulfilling the main male role. Cassie wants Stacy to play the main female role, thus be my wife in the movie. Something she turns down multiple times. Apparently, there is going to be anal in the movie and Stacy stands adamant about not doing anal.

With dinner finished the conversation has tapered off and a question that has been eating at me since I got here, leaps out of my mouth. “How did you know I was here? I thought I’d beaten you here and was going to watch for you from my truck.”

“Same way I sent the text messages to Barb and Sabrina.” Cassie starts explaining. “When I woke up this morning, I knew I was short on time. I took the pictures that I needed and then downloaded an app on your phone that would let me access your phone remotely from mine. It’s a parental app designed to let parents see where their kids are, what they are doing on their phones and reroute any text messages and phone calls to their phones.”

“Fuck!” Stacy gasps. “That is a serious invasion of his privacy.”

Cassie starts pushing her uneaten food around on her plate. “Yeah. The app was banned and the creator got a job at the NSA.”

“Well, you need to take that off of Chris’s phone right now.” Stacy sounds pissed. I’m not sure if I should be or not. It is an invasion of my privacy, sure. Honestly, I’m a little amused by this though.

“Give me your phone.” Cassie holds out her hand. I pull my phone out and as I’m handing it to her, the card Vicki gave me tumbles to the table.
