Ingredients

1 pound ground beef

¼ cup bacon, finely chopped

¼ cup yellow onion, diced

2 teaspoons Worcestershire sauce

½ teaspoon liquid smoke

4 thick slices cheddar cheese

4 large hamburger buns, toasted

Lettuce, tomato, pickle, and favorite condiments for serving

Directions

In a bowl, combine the ground beef, bacon, onion, Worcestershire sauce, and liquid smoke. Mix with your hands, then form into 4 thick patties.

Preheat the grill over medium heat.

When the grill is hot, add the burgers, seasoning with salt and pepper as desired.

Cook for 5-7 minutes per side, depending on the desired doneness. Once the burgers are flipped, add the cheddar cheese so that it can melt while the other side is cooking.

Remove from the grill and let rest 5 minutes.

Serve on toasted buns with your favorite accompaniments.
