HAWAIIAN VEGAN PIZZA

Many people will tell you that pineapple shouldn’t be on a pizza. However, don’t let that stop you from trying this taste sensation! Whether you’re vegan or not, I guarantee this pizza topping will be one you will come back to time and time again.

1 whole-wheat wrap

1 tsp extra virgin olive oil

1 tbsp tomato paste

1/2 garlic clove, crushed

8 fresh basil leaves, finely chopped

vegan chicken pieces, 11/2 x the size and thickness of your palm

1 pineapple slice, cut into small cubes

1 shallot, finely chopped

1 tsp dried oregano

1 Preheat the oven to 400°F.

2 Place the whole-wheat wrap on an oven tray and drizzle all over with the olive oil, using your hands to spread it evenly over the surface.

3 In a small dish, mix the tomato paste, garlic, and basil with a splash of water to create a runny sauce, then spread this evenly over the wrap, leaving a 1/2in (1cm) border.

4 Scatter the vegan chicken and pineapple over the pizza base along with the shallot and oregano.

5 Bake in the oven for approximately 10 minutes, until the base has turned crispy. Enjoy!
